Hilary Duff has turned to the internet for advice as she revealed that her 2-month-old daughter, Banks, is suffering from colic.

The actress and her boyfriend, Matthew Koma, welcomed their daughter in October 2018. Duff also shares a 6-year-old son, Luca, with her ex-husband Mike Comrie.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, she asked other parents who follow her on social media for advice.

She wrote:

“Calling all parents of colic babies…..this ends right?

“Can you ever set them down with out them screaming OR waking up?

“We have read everything the internet has to offer… nothing besides nursing basically every hour or less helps! We have done all the obvious things ..please leave magic tricks in comments. Oh and happy new year.”

According to the HSE, colic is the term for excessive crying in babies who appear to otherwise be healthy. The common problem affects up to 1 in 5 babies.

The signs and symptoms your baby may have colic include periods of crying where they are harder to console than usual – over 3 hours a day for more than 3 days a week and over a period of 3 weeks or more.

Some parents suggested remedies (or, at least, temporary solutions) that the actress could try, while others shared their sympathies.
