A Halloween science day filled with experiment. Your babes will be playing with ghostly shadows, ghoulish lava lamps, ghastly fake blood and glow-in-the-dark slime. ‘Micro’ scientists fit into the 10-12-year-old bracket, ‘Nano’ scientists in the 7-9-year-old bracket and ickle ‘Pico’ scientists into the 4-6-year-old section.

5. Eile ‘Mental’ Activities in Spiddal, County Galway

Who doesn’t love Laser Tag, Archery, Orienteering and Disc Golf? I mean come on. There should be a similar camp for adults. Whether it’s battling through the spooky graveyard in Laser Tag, tackling orienteering and assault courses, or trying to stop giggling sorbing downhill, there is no doubt the activities in this rugged part of Galway are almost too much fun. The course is designed to encourage teamwork and friendship in a challenging environment. Cool.

Deets: €80 per child aged 10+ at the Furbo venue, Spiddal. October 27 – 30th, 9am – 4pm.

Your kids will get up to all sorts of unnerving antics at camp for four frightening days. A mini-showcase at collection time happens after each camp when the camp supervisors break it gently to Mum and Dad that the songs and dances will probably be performed in their house for the next few months!

It’s ISA approved so all the instructors are qualified coaches, qualified RLSS Beach lifeguards, and fully insured. Every lesson is taught when the child is only waist depth, so they don’t need to be a strong swimmer. Wetsuits and boards provided.
