Lauren Conrad explains why she’s glad her son’s first word was ‘Dada’

Lauren Conrad has explained why she’s glad her son said “Dada” first.

The former reality star said that her son, Liam James, has recently started talking as he’s in the “imitation phase.”

However, she also said that she’s glad that the baby said “Dada” first, and not “Mama.”

She told People that it’s because her husband, William Tell, deserves to be getting credit for all the work he’s been doing with their son.

How nice of her.

She said:

“We’ll be talking and saying words to him and he’ll repeat a word and then refuse to say it again.

“I think he’s starting to understand the power he holds in this. He’s getting a little sassy in a good way. He’s catching on. He’s a smart kid and putting things together.”

She went on:

“If I ask him, he won’t say Mama, but I know he knows how to say it because he’ll say it when he wants something.

“He’s learning that he can withhold things. He’s stubborn like I am. I deserve it! We’ll have our whole family over and he decides who gets a kiss and who does not and it’s very funny.”

Lauren and William welcomed baby Liam James last year.
