Make the IKEA Lego table of your kids dreams (easily)

Amanda Cassidy

Speaking as someone who has lego permanently imprinted on the soles of my feet – this is GENIUS.

And I’m surprised how easy it looks to make.

It’s not that I don’t like Lego – I LOVE how long they spend with their little heads bent over their own private creations – it is just so hard to contain.

And it is killing my hoover.

That’s why we jumped at the idea of creating your very own Lego table – thanks to a neat hack with IKEA furniture. We came across it on the brilliant blog by FrugalFun4Boys and you will never look back.

Instructions:

  • 2 Trofast shelves and tubs of whatever colour your like
  • 9 Lego base plates
  • Four metal brackets, we used 8-inch brackets
  • 4 half inch screws
  • Glue or tape for attaching the baseplates.

First put together the shelves and screw the brackets together. Then glue on the baseboard and label the little tubs as you like.

Then it is playtime!

No more Lego foot woes!

Check out the entire blog here – it is full of really handy tips and tricks from this mum of four boys.
