The Muppet Movie coming back to Irish cinemas this weekend to mark 40 years

To celebrate 40 years of The Muppet Movie the beloved film will be returning to Irish screens.

This Sunday, February 24, the muppets will be back in action as they hit cinemas across Dublin.

Originally released in 1979, the film saw the muppets embark on the first adventure that catapulted Kermit and friends from our TV screens to the silver screen.

Screening as part of the Virgin Media Dublin International Film Festival, The Muppet Movie will be showing in several cinemas across the capital.

The film sees Kermit and his friends get together and travel across America to try and make their Hollywood dreams come true.

A perfect way to spend the mid-term with the kids, if you fancy popping along The Muppet Movie will be showing at the following cinemas:
