Eva Longoria welcomed her first child with her husband José “Pepe” Bastón last month.

The actress recently revealed the best thing about being a mama, and now she has said that she is worried about getting back to her day job.

Eva is set to direct a new drama Grand Hotel in a few weeks. She admitted she doesn’t even want to think about starting her new job just yet:

“My son will be two and a half months old and I can’t even think about it right now.”

Since becoming mum to Santiago Enrique Eva has been overwhelmed with joy. The 43-year-old told Hello! Magazine:

“It’s funny because everyone tells you: ‘It’s going to be amazing, wait!’ And then it happens and you understand what everyone’s talking about. But you can’t really understand it until you experience it.”

“I enjoy our routine and our days together. People tell me: ‘Get ready to be tired,’ but I’m not. I actually miss him when he’s sleeping, so I’m like: ‘Ugh. Hurry up and wake up, so I can play with you and stare at you and kiss you and cuddle you, bite, hug you!’ So the thought of going back to work… I get anxiety thinking about it.”

Eva has graced our screens for almost two decades now.

She made a name for herself when she starred in General Hospital in 2000 and is best known for her role in Desperate Housewives from 2004 to 2012.

This new drama that the new mama will direct will be her twelfth role behind the camera.
