New Year’s Festival Dublin announce free family friendly countdown event

This looks amazing!

New Years Eve before becoming a parent and after are two very different things. It becomes less about nights out dancing and more about spending time together as a family.

That being said, it shouldn’t mean that families should miss out on all the fun and with this new event you won’t have to.

New Year’s Festival Dublin have announced ticket details for their family friendly countdown spectacle, Liffey Lights Midnight Moment Matinee, taking place at Georges Quay, Custom House on New Year’s Eve.

Now in its eighth year, New Year’s Festival Dublin will be bigger and better than ever with four spectacular events set to take place over two days on December 31 2019 and January 1 2020.

Families and friends of all ages can count down to the New Year together at Liffey Lights Midnight Moment Matinee, a very special early countdown event and it looks absolutely fantastic.

Children will be enchanted as the night sky lights up in a magical explosion of colour as laser lights and aqua beams dance in perfect harmony with the music.

As a parent, I know it can be hard to find something to do as a family come New Year’s Eve as most events are not really suitable for young children.

This event is definitely something I could see myself attending with my two children as the fireworks looks like they are going to be out of this world.

Entertainment for the free Liffey Lights Midnight Moment Matinee event will start at 6pm leading to the earlier countdown spectacle at 7pm.

There will also be another Liffey Lights Midnight Moment as the clock strikes midnight and we enter 2020 suitable for older teens and adults.

To book tickets for either or both events you can visit the New Year’s Festival Dublin website nyfdublin.com.
