Ever wondered how something you’ve been expecting for so long can still take you by surprise?
Digital mindfulness app Headspace has created a touching video featuring real-life stories of pregnancy, birth and early parenthood. From tales of The Birth, to the moment parents take their babies home from hospital, mums and dads reveal their honest thoughts and fears as their new arrivals make their entrance into the world.
Titled 'The joys (and fears) of new parenthood', the film has the hashtag #AcceptTheUnexpected and shares a similar theme to the organisation's recent book, The Headspace Guide to A Mindful Pregnancy.
As the video shows, and as all mums and dads know, we can still by surprised by something we are expecting. Especially when it comes to babies. One dad perfectly sums up parenthood in the video: "It's such an intense festival of emotions."
