Meeting up with other mothers can be tough at times. Your schedule, or more realistically your child's sleeping pattern, might clash and prevent you from seeing any other mum from one end of the week to another.
That's where this mum's meet-up group in Dublin could be your answer.
Mum Talks are monthly meet-ups for women looking to feel inspired, learn something new and make new friends. The best part is, babies are welcome too.
Mum Talks began in 2017 and have gone from strength to strength with amazing speakers and events. Each month they invite three inspiring speakers to share their story and the tools they use to help navigate this exciting (and sometimes daunting!) time.
The first one of 2018 is on Tuesday, January 9 in House on Leeson Street, Dublin 2, from 11am – 12:30pm.
Speaking about what they stand for they have said:
"Mum Talks believe strongly that being a mum should not stop you reaching your career goals or enjoying your life passions, both of which are vital for self-care but can sometimes feel forgotten about or may need to be re-evaluated when you have children.
Mum Talks aim is to give you confidence and empower you as you get ready to return to work after maternity leave, or are thinking of starting your own business; or are adapting to life as a stay at home mum."
The line-up for the first Mum Talks of 2018 is Oonagh O’Hagan (owner and MD of Meaghers Pharmacy), Ellen Kavanagh Jones (CEO and founder of Waxperts) – both will talk about how they began their businesses and built it into what it is today and also joining the panel is Jennifer Hickey, a Pilates instructor who will give practical tips and talk about the importance of movement and wellness.
Tickets are €30 and can be purchased on Eventbrite, with more information available
