This hilariously graphic books shows how a baby is REALLY made

Sive O'Brien

There’s probably no easy way of discussing sex education with your kids, but when it is time to have the old birds and bees chat then this is one book we reckon you wouldn’t want to show them. Although maybe more for your sake than theirs.

A children’s book called ‘How A Baby is Made’ that was published in 1975 has started doing the rounds again, but for all the wrong reasons. Written by Danish writer and psychotherapist Per Holm Knudsen, the book features some rather graphic (and slightly creepy) illustrations that tell the story of, erm, well, how a baby is made – right through from conception until birth.

Crysta-Mai Elassaad shared photos of the book on Facebook with the hashtag #Traumatised, which seems fair enough considering we will never be able to erase the images from our minds ever again. Okay, maybe we’re being a bit dramatic. I mean, we’re no strangers to how things work around here. In fact, take a peek and see for yourself, but don’t say we didn’t warn you.
