Do you wanna build a (Summer) snowman?

Any little (or big) Frozen fans will love this indoor activity

Sive O'Brien

Yes, building snowmen might traditionally be a Winter activity, but we’re getting creative this Summer holidays.

You only need two household ingredients to make your own indoor snow; plus, this Olaf can be built in the comfort (and warmth) of your home – no frostbite required.

You will need:

  • 2 boxes of cornflour
  • 1 can of foaming shaving cream
  • Objects to dress your snowman –  buttons, wool, leaves, twigs, dried foods, etc.

What you do:

  • Empty 2 boxes of cornflour into a box or plastic container. A lid comes in handy if you want to keep the snow afterwards.
  • Add almost a whole can of shaving cream to the cornflour.
  • Mix the cornflour and shaving cream together until it forms a crumbly powder that sticks together if you form it into a ball. If it won’t stick together, add a little more shaving cream.
  • Build and dress your snowman.

The snow should keep indefinitely if you store it in a box or container with a lid.
