It was the moment he has been waiting for over almost a year.
The day Ari Schultz found out he was getting his new heart.
And we are bawling.
The five-year-old has was diagnosed with critical aortic stenosis in the womb and has spent most of his life in and out of hospital here in Boston.

Little Ari received his new heart last week and if he survives the first year – he will be on medications for his whole life.
His parents say they are so proud of his progress and that they are forever thankful for the donor and donor families sacrifice. They say they will think about them every day for the rest of our lives.
