I’m sure there are many parents who will agree that working from home with a baby or toddler under the same roof is easier said than done. I know just how difficult this can be because I’ve tried it, many times, and it always seems to end in the same way – me with no work done; my daughter on my head; my laptop covered in sticky little fingerprints.
From the same mum who showed us how co-sleeping means no sleeping thanks to her very cute (and persistent) daughter, comes a video that takes a look at just what it can be like when you’re trying to get work done with a toddler in the house. Commenting on her You Tube page, Esther Anderson says, “Never understood how mamas with a toddler manage to work from home. This is what happens when I try it….”
She continues, “Enter one of my favorite quotes: ‘Children are not a distraction from more important work. They are the most important work.'”
She is so right. But if anyone HAS managed to figure out the whole working-from-home-with-a-toddler thing, please let me know what the secret is. Thanks.
