We're sure it happens a lot.
A woman in Wales has shared a funny story about how local police thought she had left a newborn baby unattended in her car, when it was really her child's doll.
Zoe James said that four members of the Police force knocked on her door and gave out to her for leaving the 'baby' unattended. After she explained that all her children were in school, they reached in and pulled out the car seat where the doll was placed, until they realised it was a doll.
We'll let her explain how it unfolded:
"Omfg!!! Just had a knock on the door and I opened it thinkin it was the postman with my parcel I’ve been waitin for and to my surprise it was 4 police men an women!! They asked me how long I’d been home an if I could open my car for them.
I shit myself an got my keys an opened the door for them. They then asked why I would leave a newborn baby in the car on its own so I explained my baby was 5 years old now an I had just dropped him to school with his 2 older sisters but then one of the officer reached in an pulled a baby car seat out an said this baby.
I automatically laughed but the police woman didn’t find it funny an said tha it was an offence to leave a baby unattended. I quickly reached into the car seat an unwrapped the “baby” out of its blanket to show them that it was tess’s reborn tha she had left in there.
these kids will b the death of me ai"
