A 10-year-old boy helped deliver his baby brother when his mum went into labour. He also saved her life.

Jayden Fontenot from Louisiana rushed to mum Ashly Moreau’s aid when she went into labour at just 34 weeks.

According to KPLC, the 10-year-old helped deliver his baby brother by pulling him out of his mum legs first.

The baby was breech and unable to breathe due to the position he was in.

Ashly said that her son found her in the bathroom bleeding out and immediately asked her what to do.

“He didn’t look scared, he looked calm and brave and I said ‘ok, I’m going to tell you what to do and we need to get your brother out as fast as possible because he’s breeched and he can’t breathe.’ “

The baby still could not breathe, so Jayden ran to the kitchen to get a nasal aspirator to clear his nose.

His brother then started to breathe normally.

According to medics, if Jayden had not acted so quickly his brother would not have survived the birth – and neither would his mother.
