Striking images of post-baby bodies that were temporarily removed from Facebook under the ‘No Nudity’ clause have become an inspiration to women everywhere.
Photographer Jade Beall’s collection of black and white images has triumphed. There is no Photoshop; no make-up; no hiding, nipping or tucking; instead an honest view of how motherhood takes hold.
Stretch marks from pregnancy are proudly displayed next to an image of comfort and affection, showing a mum surrounded by her loving children. The idea of a woman’s body changing is accepted and embraced by the photographer who captures women in all of their beauty – large and small, smooth and wrinkly, tall and short. In a statement on her website, she wishes “to build self-esteem in a world that thrives off women feeling insecure”.
This collection, along with others we have featured, rightfully celebrate postpartum. Take a look for yourself…
