Alec Baldwin took to Instagram yesterday to respond to
comments about the birth of his sixth child.
Earlier this week, Baldwin's wife Hilaria shared a picture of the family's newest arrival just five months after the birth of their son Eduardo.
In a follow-up picture, she introduced her newborn saying: "We are so in love with our daughter, Lucia. Just like your brothers and sisters, you are a dream come true."

While it is not known whether the couple used a surrogate or chose to adopt, Hilaria has been open in the past about her
experience with miscarriage. However, the Baldwins have not been spared from speculation surrounding the birth.
One Instagram commented on the situation saying: "My first response was, like, 'Yikes' but it's not my business and if they can love and support all of these children, then God bless them."
Alec Baldwin himself responded: "I believe that people should simply say congratulations or just shut the f*ck up. That's it."

Another comment about the family read: "Who's the mother? She wasn't pregnant. She gave birth six months ago. If it was a surrogate, just say that. If the baby was adopted, just say that."
They continued: "If the baby is a product of an affair and you've decided to raise it with your wife just say that. If you don't want to say anything, why don't you both stop constantly posting and begging for clickbait. Just raise your 100 children in private."
Alec simply responded: "You should shut the f*ck up and mind your business."
Hilaria has since turned off comments on Instagram. Yesterday, she shared a graphic which appeared to address the comments. It read: "In all situations it is my response that decides whether a conflict is escalated or de-escalated, and a person is humanized or de-humanized. If we treat people as they are, we make them worse. If we treat people as they ought to be, we help them become what they are capable of becoming."
