Amy Barlow visited by the police in Corrie following teenage pregnancy controversy

Jade Hayden

Just when you thought being pregnant at 14 couldn’t get any worse.

… Then the father of your child could end going to prison for having underage sex with you even though you say you consented but you’re also 14 so you can’t actually give consent really so maybe he should go to jail.

Grim enough sitch, and Amy Barlow’s going to have to deal with it over the following days as she’s visited by police about her relationship to Tyler.

The teenager tells authorities that she had consensual sex but they, naturally, continue to see her as a victim – because, well, she technically is. Because she’s 14.

Parents Tracy and Steve are fairly understanding of the whole scenario though (because she’s 14, remember) and they inform her that she should indeed go down to the station and give a statement.

Amy though, being both pregnant and 14, decides that she’s got enough on her plate and opts to run away from the situation.

Which is not ideal considering Tyler is also facing a lot of flack from Tracy and Steve, his own parents, and now apparently the police.

Tracy offers five grand for the teenager to stay away from her daughter and her soon-to-be grandchild.

However, this is Coronation Street and it’s highly unlikely that anything even vaguely similar to the above is going to happen any time soon.

Sure look.
