We love how witty Amy is being about her pregnancy.
Last week I Feel Pretty actress, Amy Schumer, announced her pregnancy in a pretty unusual way.
Amy posted a list of her voting recommendations for the upcoming midterm elections in the US on a friend’s Instagram and buried the exciting news right at the end, simply writing, “I’m pregnant – Amy Schumer”.
The bizarre post was the start of Amy’s pregnancy shenanigans and she later posted a picture of her face photoshopped onto Meghan Markle’s pregnant body.
It’s wasn’t until yesterday however that Amy posted the first real picture of her with child. And she looks great!
Photographed with two of her friends, Amy lifted up her top to reveal her changing shape. The actress and her friends were dressed casually in sportswear and sunglasses and the selfie was captioned with a simple emoji of three girls.
Women praised Amy for “keeping it real” and one person added, “not all heroes wear capes”.
The support was indeed incredible as fans speculated that she will make a great mother:
“This child is about to be so blessed. She’s so lucky to have a mother that inspires, cares and is willing to fight for what is right to better society.”
And others understandably wanted her to join their friend group:
“Do like a thousand of people a day ask to be your friend? I’m only asking because I so want to be friends with you.”
Amy is expecting her first child with husband Chris Fisher, whom she married in secret earlier this year.
Fair play to Amy for taking pregnancy in her stride. A sense of humour might serve her well in parenthood!
