After her high profile split with ex-husband, Grant Bovey, Anthea Turner is revealing some of the heartbreaking details in her latest interview.

The pair separated in 2013 before finalising their divorce in 2015 on the grounds of adultery.

However, now Anthea is revealing some of the heartbreaking truths of their split.

In an interview with Hello! the TV presenter said her ex-husband told her he ‘possibly’ would have stayed if they were able to have children together.

“I did once ask [Grant] if he would have stayed if we’d had our own children, to which he replied, ‘Possibly’.

“I shall never know, of course, but I can’t pretend that wasn’t painful to hear. It was a double blow, I guess.”

Bovey is already a father to three children from his first marriage. However, after five bouts of IVF, Anthea found she was unable to conceive.

Anthea and Grant were both married to other people when they first met and left their respective partners to be with each other.

“Looking back, I regret the pain we caused,” the 57-year-old revealed. “It was a terrible time of hurt all round and, knowing what I know now, I am so sorry about it all.”
