Nameberry explains that Saoirse has been the "third furthest-rising" name in the United States in 2017 and as a result, it's expected to become even more popular in 2018.
Why so?
Saoirse Ronan's film Ladybird was been well-received by critics, 99 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes if you don't mind and its popularity is likely to factor in the reasons for the name's resurgence.
Other predictions include a rise in superhero-themed names such as Ivy (Poison Ivy), Aurora (X Men) and Rhodes (Iron Man).
The folks over at this particular baby-name site are also convinced that presidential-inspired names are likely to be popular.
Not only presidential names but presidential surnames including Jefferson, Lincoln and Monroe.
Finally, it's all about S next year with Snow, Soren, Sasha, Sunday, Stellan, Sage and Sayer all tipped for the top.
