You might think that labour is challenging enough without having to worry about vlogging updates on your progress…

Rebecca Meldrum, a 28-year-old mummy blogger from Scotland has been blogging, vlogging, and live-streaming her way through her third child’s birth.

The Scotland based mum-of-two (soon to be three) was induced on Thursday at 36 weeks due to doctors’ concerns about her high blood pressure and her baby’s growth.

Rebecca, who blogs under the name Mrs Meldrum, was also exposed to the Zika virus after a family holiday to Florida and her third pregnancy was considered high risk.

Meldrum has previously given birth to two healthy daughters, Safiyah (5) and Florence (2). This time around, the brave mum decided to share her induction and labour experience with over 14,000 followers.

In her most recent update, Rebecca shared that the induction process was not progressing as she had imagined, writing:

“Still in hospital, still pregnant and utterly fed up! Missing my girlies, my bed and civilisation. Not a twinge or cramp and I’ve lost any kind of positivity. Induction began 32 hours ago and nothing!”

Good luck Rebecca – we’ll be keeping a close eye on your progress…
