If there’s one thing we love more than pictures of babies, it’s pictures of newborn babies.
They’re small, they can’t support their own heads, they’re fresh out the womb – just an ideal situation, really.
The prevalence of celeb culture and all of our obsessions with Instagram means that these photos are a mere click away most of the time.
After all, people are never going to stop having babies, and those people are never going to stop wanting to boast about those newborn babies online.
It’s the natural order of things.
Today, the newborn baby we get to flail about is that of Love Island stars Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey.
The pair welcomed the baby boy just a few days ago, with dad Nathan sharing a photo of the couple in what looked like literal seconds after Cara had given birth.

And now, Cara has shared her own picture of her firstborn… sort of.
She took to Instagram to post a picture of her son’s tiny fingers grasping her own.
It’s fairly adorable.

Cara and Nathan were crowned the winners of last year’s series of Love Island.
They announced their split a while after only to rekindle their relationship by letting everybody know that they were expecting a child.
