Christine Lampard talks about what she’s doing to prepare for motherhood

Melissa Carton

Christine Lampard has recently opened up on what she’s doing to prepare for life as a mother.

The TV presenter, who has recently been presenting Lorraine Kelly’s ITV show is due to have her first child this year.

The 39-year-old is married to former footballer Frank Lampard.

Christine has been a step mum to Frank’s children from his previous relationship for nine years, and while she knows what to expect she’s still preparing herself for all that comes with being a mother.

According to Prima Christine said:

“I’m relatively relaxed. Because of what I do, and what my husband does, we are always open to change constantly. We have been all over the place and have moved about 20 times during our relationship.

‘You have to be adaptable but as long as your foundations don’t change too much, you can work around everything. I wish sometimes I was more of a planner, but I don’t seem to have that gene in me.”

Christine has also been taking advice on board when it comes to not comparing yourself to other mums.

“People are telling me, “Do your best to relax into it and don’t put too much pressure on yourself. Don’t always be looking at everyone else and thinking, “It’s running perfectly for them, why isn’t it for me? Give yourself a break. I’ll take it hour by hour.”

I think this is advice that any mum could take on board as we always put ourselves under pressure to be perfect when it’s simply not possible.

Frank and Christina are expecting their baby soon and we can’t wait to see the newest member of their family.
