Celebrity mum Coleen Rooney is raving about the benefits of consuming the placenta following birth.
The 30-year-old, who is married to footballer Wayne Rooney, opted for placenta encapsulation after welcoming her third son Kit earlier this year.
She told the Daily Mirror: “They had a slightly metallic taste and they definitely made me feel energised.
“I felt full of very positive energy and it helped with a number of pregnancy symptoms such as the produce of milk. I slept really well and they helped to stabilise my weight after having Kit.”

Coleen added that it is important to do a bit of research into different options and find the best one for you.
“Everyone has a different reaction but in my case they were great,” she explained. “There are so many ways to do it now so research what’s best for you.”
Coleen and Wayne tied the knot back in 2008 and have three sons together – Kai (6), Klay(3), and Kit (5 months).
