Coronation Street‘s Julia Goulding is expecting her first child.
The actor and husband Ben Silver announced the news via Instagram today saying that they are, of course, overjoyed to be having a baby together.

Goulding, who plays Shona Ramsey in the ITV soap, posted a photo of herself and Silver announcing the news this afternoon.

“Ben and I are delighted to announce that we are expecting our first baby at the end of this year!” she said. “We are absolutely overjoyed and can’t wait to meet our little one!”
Goulding and Silver tied the knot earlier this year after three years of dating.
They decided to keep their engagement on the DL for a while before eventually revealing that they had married at Manchester’s Albert Hall.
Silver, who is a teacher, admitted to having to plan their entire wedding due to Goulding’s hectic schedule on Corrie, saying that she doesn’t get a “moment’s rest” because of the soap.
34-year-old Goulding has played Shona in the ITV series since 2016.
Since then, she has played David Platt’s girlfriend – a relationship that was met with a fair amount of obstacles in the form of David’s sexual assault, Shona’s family being threatened, and Clayton attempting to murder her.
Not ideal, in fairness.
