Dad experiences labour pain in hilarious video

"You're doing a great job, honey"

Sive O'Brien

If you like the idea of your partner experiencing labour pain (who wouldn’t?!), then you’ll probably love this video.

With Mother’s Day in the US taking place this weekend, viral video creator Kim Holderness decided to ask for something extra special this year. Forget the flowers and chocolates, she wanted her husband to really embrace fatherhood by experiencing what it takes to become a mother.

Happy to oblige, Penn is wired up to a machine that emits electric shocks to simulate labour pains. It doesn’t take long, however, before he is screaming in agony. According to Kim, “The doctor and I agree that the muscle stimulator I bought is about a third of what a real contraction feels like.”

We’re sure he regrets agreeing to take part, although we’re very glad he did – the footage is hilarious.

Watch (and laugh) as the doctor increases the pain level and Penn tells his wife, “I just don’t want you in my face right now, honestly. I’m serious, I need you out of my face,” after she offers him a drink and tells him he’s doing a great job.
