‘These are happy tears’ This Morning presenter reveals she is pregnant

This Morning's Sharon Marshall broke down in tears this morning as she confirmed she was expecting her first child.

The presenter joined Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on Tuesday's episode to share her happy news. Holly told the 46-year-old that she was "looking lovely", with Phillip adding that she was "blossoming", as they all sat down to talk about what's coming up on the soaps. An emotional Sharon replied:

"Oh don’t I’m going to cry. I swore I wouldn’t do this backstage."

"I’m pregnant. I’m really really happy, this is happy tears."

The Queen of Soaps revealed that she had already shared her baby joy with This Morning's doctor, Dr Chris Steele. She added:

"I told Dr Chris very early so he’s been keeping this secret. Myself and my partner Paul Fletcher, we’re 14 weeks along, and we let Dr Chris into the secret a little while ago. "He’s the king of the corridor consultations."
