Helen Flanagan discusses if she will return to Coronation Street after maternity leave

Helen Flanagan has revealed that Rosie Webster will “definitely” be returning to Weatherfield, adding: “it’s just a matter of when.”

The 28-year-old left the soap in April 2018 as she went on maternity leave. And while she admits that having children “has totally changed” her priorities, she isn’t ruling out a return to Weatherfield.

She told The Mirror:

“Having children has totally changed my priorities.

“With Scott’s job we’re settled in Glasgow at the moment but I’d love to go back to Coronation Street .

“It’s just a matter of when and how I work it. We all share parenting tips in the green room at Corrie. It’s such a family atmosphere.

“I went to the National Television Awards the other week, which was fab. It was really fun to get glammed up again and to feel nice in my dress.

“I took Delilah too – my best friend looked after her while I went to the awards. All my old Corrie mates got to meet her at breakfast.

“I miss everyone so much I definitely will go back. It’s just when that will be.”

Helen and her fiancé, Scott Sinclair, welcomed their second daughter – Delilah – last summer. They also have a three-year-old daughter, Matilda.

She has played Rosie on-and-off since 2000, taking over the role when she was just 10 years old. She remained on the cobbles until 2012, when she left to pursue other interests.

Helen returned to the long-running soap in 2017, before leaving again last spring as she took maternity leave.
