Helen Flanagan says her labour was so painful she was ‘about to explode’

Helen Flanagan has said that her labour was so painful that she thought she was “about to explode.”

The Coronation Street star recently gave birth to her second child, Delilah, and said that while the labour was much faster, it was a lot more painful.

She told OK! magazine:

“Luckily, my labour went really well although it was much more painful than my first birth.

“At points I felt like I was about to explode because the contractions were so intense!”

Flanagan and fiancée Scott Sinclair announced their engagement not long before the birth of their second daughter. The pair are already parents to three-year-old Matilda.

Helen said that she doesn’t have many plans as to when the pair are going to get married yet, but that it will most likely be next summer.

She told the publication:

“We haven’t booked anything but we’re aiming for next summer.

“I’m super girlie and I’ve dreamt about my wedding since I was young, so I’ve already been wedding dress shopping!”

Helen was recently praised for sharing a message to new mums who might be nervous about breastfeeding in public.

Posting a photo of herself and her newborn, Delilah, the actor wrote on Instagram:

“Didn’t post this picture last night. I feel that breast feeding at first in public can make you apprehensive but I find the more I breastfeed in public the more my confidence grows and it becomes like second nature to me.

“I always bring lots of blankets when I’m out and about so I can cover myself and Delilah comfortably, it’s just latching the baby on first and then your away.”
