Helen George has responded to a tweet body shaming her during the latest episode of Call the Midwife.
The actress appeared in the most recent episode of the BBC show on Sunday when her character, Trixie Franklin, announced that she was taking leave due to her addiction.
The storyline coincided with George's own pregnancy which she announced last year.
She and fellow Call the Midwife star Jack Ashton welcomed baby Wren Ivy in October.
Their daughter arrived so early she was able to attend her own baby shower.

However, despite the fact that George was pregnant while filming much of the latest series of Call the Midwife, some people still took it upon themselves to criticise how the actress looked on screen.
And, most notably, comment on her weight.
After the episode aired, one Twitter user of the name Andre Fernandez took to social media to say that George looked "massive" and that she "should be put on a diet."

Rude, and also unnecessary.
George, however, wasn't about to take this unwarranted attack on her body lying down and she decided to reply to the tweet herself.
She wrote:
"Sorry if my chins offended you, I chose to feed my baby healthily and not starve myself in a selfish act to look good on tv."

The new mum's tweet has already received over 17,000 likes with users commending her for shutting down the lad who so rudely decided to comment on her weight.
George went on to say that she had noticed a trend emerging to suggest that pregnant women should stay "skinny" when they're expecting.
She said:
"So many comments like that come my way. So boring. It’s about a feeling toward pregnant women, that we should all stay skinny."

George recently explained her decision to hide her pregnancy during the filming of the show.
She said that it wouldn't have made sense for Trixie to be pregnant too given the nature of her storyline.
"I was pregnant in the series, so you just kind of see me walk across the screen sometimes with odd fashions, or I’d sit down a lot, or I’m wearing lots of capes.
"It wasn’t a correct storyline to choose for the character, as well. It wasn’t right for Trixie to be pregnant. So we just did our best to cover it up."
Call the Midwife continues on BBC1 on Sunday.
