Huge congrats! RTÉ Six One presenter Caitríona Perry reveals she is pregnant

Huge congratulations.

RTÉ Six One presenter Caitríona Perry has revealed that she is pregnant.  The former Washington correspondent told her social media followers that she was expecting some 'news' of her own later this year. Addressing all of the "eagle-eyed RTÉ Six One viewers who have been in touch", she said:

"You are correct! I am expecting some ‘news’ of my own later this year."

The 38-year-old was soon flooded with congratulations and well wishes from her followers. One person said:

"Ah ..... That is fantastic news Caitriona.. Thrilled for both of you !!"

Another wrote:

"Congrats Caitriona, absolutely delighted for you. Full disclosure, spotted even before Young Scientists Exhibition."

Someone else commented:

"Huge congrats Caitriona such wonderful news you will make an amazing Mummy xx"

A different person added:

"A big congratulations to you and of course your partner. Best Wishes."

In late 2017, it was announced that Perry and Keelin Shanley would begin a new role as the co-anchors of the Six One News.
