"I don’t go cold turkey."
Amid all of the things women are expected to avoid during pregnancy, alcohol can be one of the toughest to give up.
TV presenter Karen Koster has admitted that she doesn't give in to pressure and continues to take the odd drink while pregnant.
The Xposé host revealed last week that she's expecting her third child.
"I'm not doing anything different," she told the
Mirror.
"If anything, you tend to forget a little bit so you’re trying to remember not to drink too much coffee and for Christmas, it is always hard because I don’t go off my alcohol when I’m pregnant so there is temptation everywhere.
She says she has the odd glass of wine but stays within the recommended limits.
"At Christmas, certainly I was not going to cut myself off entirely but I don’t go cold turkey with anything."
Karen, 36, is expecting her third child in June of this year.
She and husband John McGuire are already parents to two boys; three-year-old Finn and JJ, 21 months.
Speaking about experiencing pregnancy for the third time, she admitted her cravings this time round have given her a newfound love for salt and vinegar crisps.
