Kylie Jenner has revealed there was another reason she decided to keep her pregnancy quiet – and it makes a lot of sense.
The 21-year-old and her partner, Travis Scott, welcomed a daughter named Stormi earlier this year.
Speculation over the makeup mogul’s pregnancy flew for months, but it wasn’t until she announced her daughter’s arrival on social media in February this year that it was officially confirmed.

On February 4, the reality TV star posted a video that documented her pregnancy – as well as sharing a lengthy message for fans, where she apologised for keeping them in the dark.
She wrote at the time that she had wanted to prepare to become a mum in a “stress free and healthy” way – but has now revealed she had another reason for keeping her news quiet.

As part of an interview with Vogue Australia, Kylie told her sister Kendall how she thought it would be best if she kept her pregnancy (and Storm’s arrival) “low-key”.
She explained:
“I knew that it would be better for us, if me and Stormi just stayed kind of low-key.
“Your hormones are going crazy and your emotions are more heightened, and I just felt like I wasn’t prepared to.
“I just felt like it was a sacred special moment and I wasn’t ready to share it with everybody. I just wanted to keep that to myself.”
The 21-year-old said that she had a “really good time” during her pregnancy – and she reckons that that had an impact on her daughter.

She added:
“I feel like that’s why Stormi is so calm and so happy, because I was so calm and so happy.”
Kendall also asked the news mum what it was like to watch her partner – rapper Travis Scott – become a dad.
Admitting that their six-month-old daughter is “really obsessed” with her dad, Kylie said:
“We both experienced this for the first time, so I love learning together and just watching him with her.
“He’s so good with her and she’s really obsessed with him.”
