What would you do if your other half named your child without having that conversation with you? You’d be kind of annoyed, right? Well, what if he went another step further and named your child after his favourite football team and the stadium at which they play at?
Because that’s what Mike Bloomfield did. He is a lifelong Millwall supporter so he decided to call his son Bermondsey (that's the stadium where they play) Millwall Den Bloomfield.
Worse still, he didn’t tell his wife Kelly about it.
Talking to
Southwark News, Mike explained: “If David Beckham can name his son Brooklyn, then I can name mine Bermondsey.
“I just love Millwall … One of the women at the registry office was a Millwall fan and she loved it when she saw what we are going to name him.
“I threatened to do it but I don’t think my wife believed me! I’m not sure how she’s going to react.”
But it turns out she was okay with it. In fact, she told the publication that she quite likes it now.
We would have killed him... or at least kicked a football at his head!
