Michelle Branch is pregnant with her second child.
The singer announced on Thursday that she was pregnant – the child will be her first with her fiancé, Patrick Carney.
She shared a sweet ultrasound video of their “little surprise”, as she said the couple “couldn’t be more excited”.
She wrote:
“Well, we were just about to send out Save The Dates for our wedding in May when we got this little surprise.
“Baby Carney is happening this summer and Patrick and I couldn’t be more excited! xx”
The Are You Happy Now singer and the Black Keys drummer got engaged in July 2017, on Branch’s 34th birthday.
In a post showing off her beautiful Art Deco engagement ring, the musician wrote:
“Thank you for all the birthday love and wishes. Last night, right before I blew out my candles, Patrick asked me to marry him and then I had nothing left to wish for … 34 might be the best year yet.”
The couple met at a Grammys party in Los Angles back in 2015, and soon began writing and recording together before starting a relationship.
The couple’s newest arrival will be the second child for Branch, who was previously married to her bassist Teddy Landau.
The pair tied the knot in 2004, before welcoming a baby girl named Owen a year later.
They called time on their relationship in 2014.
