The stunning pictures show the labouring mum's point of view throughout the birth.
She told the Sun that she had some help from family and friends:
"I thought it would be such a cool idea to show other mums that you can do this type of photography yourself. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without the support of my husband and my friends who were there with me, they helped to hold my legs back, so that I would be able to hold my camera.”Lauren, from New York, was also able to capture the moment her daughter met her little brother.
Sorry, that's just the sound of my heart melting.
Perhaps other mums will follow suit. It really is a great lesson in multi-tasking.
