This Mum Snapped Her Own Pictures Of Her Son’s Birth And They Are INCREDIBLE

I barely knew my own name when my children came into the world. We have beautiful pictures of just after the birth but during I was one big ball of emotion (and pain) But Lauren Chenault went one step further... The 24-year-old professional photographer was not missing the opportunity to personally capture the moment Kai Arthur was born. The stunning pictures show the labouring mum's point of view throughout the birth. She told the Sun that she had some help from family and friends:

"I thought it would be such a cool idea to show other mums that you can do this type of photography yourself. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without the support of my husband and my friends who were there with me, they helped to hold my legs back, so that I would be able to hold my camera.”

Lauren, from New York, was also able to capture the moment her daughter met her little brother. Sorry, that's just the sound of my heart melting. Perhaps other mums will follow suit. It really is a great lesson in multi-tasking. (Images via You're my Focus)
