Her daughter will not survive outside the womb.

A mum has revealed the heartbreaking reason why she’s decided to carry her baby to term, despite her daughter not being able to survive outside of the womb.

Hayley Martin told Eamon and Ruth on This Morning that she wants to continue with her pregnancy so that she can donate her baby’s organs to other infants who need them.

The mum received the news of her baby’s condition during her 20-week scan.

She was told that her daughter, Ava-Joy, would be born with no kidneys and therefore would not survive long after birth.

The lack of fluid in her amniotic sack also meant that she would not develop kidneys properly.

Hayley explained her decision to continue with the pregnancy saying: “I wouldn’t have it any other way though, she’s my child.”

“They gave us the weekend to think over everything and it was automatic.

“I don’t want to let her go just yet.”

Ava-Joy’s organs will be donated to other babies in need of transplants once she is born.

Hayley has also said that she will donate one of her own kidneys in her daughter’s name.
