Smith was transported to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead, but ended up giving birth in the ambulance.
The mum welcomed her baby boy Gabriel into the world in March 2020. The pregnancy came as a total surprise, the mum said. Sally used contraception, got her period throughout the pregnancy, and remained a size 10-12 so "nothing was out of the ordinary".

Despite the total shock, the mum says her son is the best thing that has ever happened to her.
She told The Mirror, "I didn't put on any weight, had no bump and was probably skinnier then than I am now.
"If I had a drink after work I was always sick and people would joke that I was pregnant and I'd be like 'if I was pregnant, I'd be eight months pregnant now' - that was kind of the running joke at work for a while," she added.
Gabe's arrival may have been a surprise for the mum, but there's no doubt he's made her life extra special since his shock arrival.Explore more on these topics:
