Some people are shaming Rachel Weisz for being pregnant ‘at her age’

Jade Hayden

Seriously?!

Over the weekend, Rachel Weisz announced that she was expecting her first child with husband Daniel Craig.

People were congratulatory, people were happy for her, and people were generally in good spirits about the whole affair because it’s the actress’s first child with Daniel so fair play to them really.

However, some people were, let’s say, less than congratulatory.

In fact, they don’t think that Rachel should be having any more children at all – purely because she’s 48-year-old.

Search the news on Facebook and you’d have a hard time finding a post where the top comment isn’t something to do with the The Mummy actress’s age.

Hello! US,

And Kidspot for context:

Now, this is by no stretch the majority of comments that this story received.

Across the board, people told their stories of becoming pregnant well into their 40s.

Their reasons ranged from not wanting to have children before that time, to not being with the right person, to simply being unable to before then.

Some people even said that Rachel’s story gave them “hope” that they could conceive in later life too.

And others were simply delighted for the pair.

You know, like normal non-judgement people.

The way it should be, really.
