Sometimes you need to get creative when you’re attempting to raise awareness for a cause you believe in.
And that’s just what Ohio-based, self-described ‘pregnant pro-choice cat-lovin’ hardcore crafter & burlesque dancer’ Kelley Freeman did this week, when she dreamed up an act like no other for a Women Have Options fundraiser.
Freeman planned an act with the Columbus-based Ooh-La-Las burlesque group that saw her dancing to the Loretta Lynn track The Pill… while wearing a huge, DIY pill packet.

Founded in 1992, Women Have Options is an abortion fund that supports reproductive choice. The organisation provides financial assistance to help patients afford contraception, emergency contraception, and abortion services.
Speaking about her decision to support the cause, Kelley told Cosmopolitan:
“This is something I want to do, and I can’t imagine being forced to go through it,” she said. “I threw up last week because of an overripe orange somewhere in my kitchen! It’s not the beautiful sunshine picnic anti-choicers seem to try to make it.”

We’ve noted this idea for Halloween.
