1 Nicole Kidman
When Nicole had her first biological daughter, Sunday Rose, hubby and country singer Keith Urban gifted his wife with a diamond encrusted ring by none other than Cartier. And when daughter No. 2, Faith Margareth, came along a couple of years later, Urban didn't disappoint and bestowed upon his wife a necklace made of diamonds and emeralds.
2. Kristin Cavallari
The reality-show-star-turned-shoe-designer gave birth to her first boy, Camden Jack, a couple of years ago. As a (giant) thank you for giving him a son, her hubby, football star Jay Cutler, gave his wife a Hermes Birkin bag. As one does.
3. Beyonce
When little Blue Ivy came along, Jay-Z presented his baby mama with a stunning blue (of course!) Tanzanite cocktail ring. Cost? Not known.
4. Rachel Zoe
When stylist-to-the-stars Rachel Zoe had her first son, hubby Rodger Berman presented his fashion-loving wife with something she allegedly had dreamed of for ages: A 10-carat diamond ring by Neil Lane. Who wants to bet that upon opening the lavish gift the words "I DIE" and "BANANAS" were uttered??
5. Katie Holmes
Back when Tom Cruise was still jumping on sofas and all was love and Italian castle weddings between himself and Katie Holmes, the actor bought his baby mama a $7000 Cartier Love bracelet to celebrate the birth of their daughter Suri in 2006.
6. Jennifer Lopez
Aul' Jenny from the block has never been very discreet when it comes to her jewellery choices. So it's probably no wonder that then-hubby Marc Anthony went a little overboard in the gift department when J.LO gave birth to twins Max and Emme in 2008. Two babies? Two presents - of course. Diamond earrings worth a whopping $1,3 million AND a canary yellow diamond ring to the price of $2,8 million.
7. Jessica Alba
Alba’s husband, Cash Warren, surprised his wife with a gold and diamond watch worth $54,000 after their daughter Haven Garner was born in 2011.
Now, don't get us wrong. Much as we wouldn't mind diamonds or designer bags (Really; Would. Not. Mind. At. All) as a recognition for having gone through nine months of pregnancy AND labour, we do think there are plenty of equally romantic (and much less expensive!) ways to shower a new mama with love and well-wishes too.
We would love to hear your thoughts on the matter. Did any of you Irish mamas get some great Push Presents once you were done pushing (apart from that gorgeous baby of course!)? Let us know in the comments or tweet us at @HerfamilydotieExplore more on these topics:
