Strictly’s Ola and James Jordan have welcomed their first child

Strictly Come Dancing's Ola and James Jordan have welcomed their first child.

The couple, who have been married for 17 years, shared the happy news with their followers on Saturday evening. "She’s here and she is perfect. #mummy," Ola write alongside a photo of the newborn's hand curled around her thumb.

James followed it up with his own photo, with his baby girl's feet resting against his hand. "I'm the happiest man in the world #daddy," he wrote.

The couple announced in September last year that they were expecting their first child - months after they opened up about their IVF journey. They told Hello! that Ola fell pregnant on the first round of IVF in June, with Ola admitting a the time that she didn't "think it's properly sunk in." "When we had the scan it was funny because the baby was dancing. I'm not sure if it was a cha-cha or a jive, but it was definitely dancing," she told the publication, as they showed off their 12-week scan. "Finding out that we are pregnant is no doubt our biggest achievement ever. This is probably the most special and exciting thing that has ever happened to us," James added.
