Vlogger Lily Pebbles felt she 'lost her personality' in the early stages of pregnancy

The YouTuber gave an honest account of how she was feeling.

On Sunday lifestyle vlogger, Lily Pebbles, took to Instagram to announce that she is pregnant with her first child. She was notably posting less frequently on social media and explains that pregnancy was the reason why.

Lily is due next spring and in the post, she admitted that she is experiencing all the emotions – sound familiar, mums?

Lily was inundated with congratulatory comments and well wishes. In the picture, she wore a cute “Baby In Progress” slogan jumper that is from Zara’s new maternity collection.

The mum-to-be also uploaded a YouTube video announcing the news and updating subscribers on how she’s been feeling.

She said the first trimester was “quite interesting”, that she was “sick and tired and mainly just really lacking in personality.”

Lily is thankfully now feeling a lot better and both she and husband Rick say they have “a new appreciation for women.”

The YouTuber said she is really gravitating towards mothers for comfort and advice.

Lily was very open in this first pregnancy vlog and said that her mental health was “not OK.” She confessed that she found the first few weeks quite lonely when she couldn’t tell anyone she was pregnant but said that she found watching other people’s pregnancy vlogs very helpful.

Lily and Rick offered some advice to viewers at the end of the video, saying that telling close family or friends also helps to alleviate this loneliness. Women usually wait until the 12-week scan to tell people, as there is a risk of miscarriage, but it is all personal preference and as Lily said, if that were to happen she would want to tell people anyway.

Fair play to Lily for being so honest in the video, it could really help other women.
