Dax Shepard nursed out clogs his wife encountered during her breastfeeding

This is what we call a supportive partner.

During a recent episode of the Drew Barrymore show celebrity couple Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell got real honest about Bell's trouble breastfeeding. The Frozen actress explained that she suffered with mastitis, an infection of the breast tissue resulting in pain, which her husband helped her through by physically unclogging her breasts. During the interview Dax spoke about how he helped nurse out clogs that Kristen was experiencing during breastfeeding;

"Let's just say that I extracted mastitis and we'll leave everyone's imagination to wander. Let me also add that it is not easy and not rewarding. I mean it is to know that you helped your partner but other than that it's where the rubber meets the road. It's down in the trenches you know?"

Kristen went on to say that it was during that time that she realised just how committed her husband was to her, because the whole experience was very unpleasant;

"I said to my husband, 'I really need you to suck this out. We could talk about it, we could be weird about it, or you could just go ahead and nurse.' He pulled it out. He had a cup next to him. He was pulling out and spitting into this cup, and I've never been more in love in my life."

Dax and Kristen first met in 2007 at the birthday party of a mutual friend and later married in 2013. The couple famously refused to get married until married for legalised in the States for same sex couples. They have two daughters, Lincoln, 8, and Delta, 6.
