“These pictures were taken without our consent and expose a vulnerable and innocent baby.”

Diane Kruger has issued an emotional plea for privacy after photos of her newborn baby were taken, and shared online, without her consent.

The actor and model came across the unauthorised photos when she and partner Norman Reedus were tagged in them on Instagram.

She urged whoever had shared the images to delete them and to respect her “vulnerable and innocent” baby daughter’s privacy.

Sharing one of the photos with her daughter’s face blurred out, she wrote:

“Dear fans, dear non fans, dear paparazzi and anyone with a conscience. We were just tagged in these paparazzi pictures of me and our daughter. These pictures were taken without our consent and expose a vulnerable and innocent baby.

“While we understand that some people would like to see a picture of our daughter, we as parents, want nothing more than allow her to grow up in privacy and safety.”

Kruger went on to ask that whoever has reshared the photos take them down and allow her and Reedus to “achieve that goal.”

“Please put yourself in our shoes,” she wrote. “We are just like any parent wanting the very best for our child. Thank you for your support.”

Her message was met with much praise by parents and fans alike who agreed that identifying photos of the baby should not be shared online unless the parents had decided to do so.

Kruger and Reedus welcomed their baby girl late last year.

The 42-year-old said that 2018 had been a “wonderful year” and that she was “looking forward to having my own little family and be together.”

Reedus also has a 19-year-old son, Mingus, with his ex-girlfriend model Helena Christensen.
