It's like eating breakfast or washing your face, we just kind of do it without thinking about it, but children have to be taught the healthy teeth habit.
Like many things, when it comes to raising, it can become a bit of a battle.
Luckily there are things you can do to get your little one brushing their teeth without starting World War Three.

Though this might seem obvious, it's important to start cultivating the habit early, so get together with your child and make a set plan for a brushing routine.
Make sure you highlight the importance of keeping teeth clean, like the prevention of staining and cavities to motivate your kid.
Brush your own teeth at the same time as your child, making sure to get down to their level so they can see what you're doing.
Show them the proper way to get their pearly whites clean, brushing in circles, and how you brush all their teeth, top and bottom, front and back.

Take your little one to the shop with you and let them pick out which flavour they want as mint might be a bit overwhelming to start with.
There's also a wide range of toothbrushes in different colours and even some with their favourite cartoon characters on them.
Let them put the toothpaste on the brush and do it by themselves and don't worry about the mess - it cleans up easily.

The minimum amount of time your children should brush is 2 minutes. Set a timer and see if they can continue for the correct amount of time.
Brush along with them. Have a contest to see who can create the most bubbles with their brushing. your children to show you how clean their teeth are after getting rid of all the cavity monsters.
Watch these fun, timed videos that will have your little ones focusing, smiling, and brushing like never before.
