Kathryn Thomas has shared the first photo of her newborn baby girl, Ellie.
The Operation Transformation presenter took to Instagram yesterday to share the photo properly photograph of her daughter.
Kathryn announced Ellie’s birth last week saying that her child was “the most perfect thing I’ve ever seen” including a picture of her daughter’s feet.
She then shared another photo of Ellie yesterday enjoying Easter for a Lindt bunny.

She wrote:
“Carrying out my motherly duties to a tee. No solids for Ellie. Must eat all her Easter eggs to protect her from herself #heromum.”

Kathryn announced that she was expecting a child with fiancé Padraig McLaughlin late last year.
The 39-year-old had previously spoken honestly about her past miscarriages and her desire to start a family, saying that she felt like the topic was still very much “taboo.”

Speaking on The Late Late Show, she said:
“For us, it wasn’t just the miscarriages, it was the length of time it was taking to get pregnant, like three years, and you have the stress of that on top of everything else as well.
“I’ve always thought of myself as very optimistic, but I was completely wall-fallen that we couldn’t make this work. It is very testing on a relationship and especially on men, because while we women tend to talk about it, men bottle it.”
Kathryn began dating businessman Padraig in mid-2013 after ending her five-year-long relationship with Garda Enda Waters.
