Time passes – who knew?

Miffy Englefield, who played Jude Law’s daughter in festive favourite The Holiday, is actually a mother too – making you, officially, old.

The 21-year-old, who starred in the movie alongside Law, Cameron Diaz, and Kate Winslet in 2006, welcomed her first child earlier this year.

Miffy announced the news on her Instagram, sharing the details of her difficult labour and thanking friends and family for their support.

“After taking the first few days to start processing and recovering, I finally feel ready to announce that at 5.03am on 23rd April 2020 we welcomed a healthy, beautiful baby girl into the world,” she wrote.

“Frances Rosanna Lee Englefield was born via emergency C-section, weighing 6lb 7oz,” Miffy continued. “She was met with tears, joy and more love than can ever be described.

“We chose the middle name ‘Lee’ after our dear late friend Lee Hill who, after dragging me to a gig I really didn’t want to go to, is the sole reason she exists. Although I’m still recovering and fighting a pretty nasty infection, baby is doing so incredible.

Miffy went on: “She has the largest and most loving family with the most ridiculous mix of beautiful people around her. We cannot wait for you all to meet her once the world begins to return to a more normal state.

“I’m still recovering and will be for a while so I may not reply to your messages but they’re being read and soaked up and so appreciated, I promise. Welcome to the world, dear Frankie. We love you.”

Miffy starred in festive favourite The Holiday back in 2006 when she was just six-years-old.

The 21-year-old, who decided to quit acting when she was a teenager, said that at the time, she didn’t actually know who Jude and Cameron were because she was so young.

“But I did know who Jack [Black] was because my dad was really into alternative music and I liked [his band] Tenacious D,” she said.

“The first time I met him I bounded up to him and said, ‘I love your music’. He was like ‘that is ridiculous, you are six years old.'”
