Great news for parents.
Mothercare has decided to cut the VAT cost on all car seats so it doesn’t get passed on to their customers.
The Irish government charges a rate of 13.5 per cent VAT on car seats but the popular baby store chain says that they will cover the cost of the VAT in a bid to help parents afford high-quality car seats.
The Mothercare brand is known for its emphasis on car seat safety and their staff will even help parents fit new car seats.
Mothercare stores have a zero per cent VAT policy on all of their car seats meaning that even though it’s the law Mothercare will pay the VAT on car seats so customers won’t have to.
As well as making sure parents can afford car seats of the highest standards Mothercare also have Car Seat Experts on hand to help.
I remember when I bought my first car seat I had no clue how to install it so having the staff talk me through was so helpful.
The Car Seat Experts in every Mothercare store fit new car seats and check existing ones for free, regardless of whether you purchased the seat in Mothercare as long as the type of seat is available in Mothercare to ensure the car seat experts have received training from the supplier.
